Mr. Dumesnil, why did you asked us to tune your engine on farm equipment?
Answer: At first, we asked for more power, because with the 12-row nose, we were always at 100% of the engine’s capacity, and when we were unloading, we had to reduce our speed, which made the operation more difficult for the grain operator. Thanks to our new tuning, our engine now only works at 80% of its load capacity. And we also noted a very significant reduction of diesel consumption!

Mr. Daoust, why did you ask us to tune your Steiger 430 engine?
Answer: In the past years, we had what we call a chip on our Steiger 430, because we lacked power with some machineries. With the chip, things were fine with horsepower, but the fuel consumption was a total disaster! Last year, I heard Diesel Spec inc. so I asked them what they could do for my 12 row chopper nose 8230 combine. The results were puzzling! We gained 1,6 km/h and our consumption dropped by at least 10 litres/hour! This is why we decided to remove the chip on our Steiger 430 et to have the engine tuned.

Mr. Tremblay, why did you asked us to tune combine engine?
Answer: We started last year with our 8120 combine, because previously, we had a chip installed with Steinbauer. Power was great, but black smoke was coming out of the exhaust pipe! For me, black smoke is a symptom of bad combustion. So I asked Diesel Spec inc. to tune our engine. The results are beyond our expectations. Power went up, and fuel consumption went down. And it doesn’t smoke anymore! For obvious reasons of fuel economy, we decided to have our John Deere 8310 Rt and our Quadtrack 450 engines tuned.

Mr. Boire, why did you ask us to tune your engine?
Answer: We asked for this tuning for the simple reason that our tractor had a hard time pulling our machineries. We could have changed it for a more powerful one, but the cost was considerable. Knowing that the next bigger model was built with the same components (transmission, engine and differential), we thought that boosting the power would do the job. So we asked Diesel Spec inc. to give us 30% more power. And it’s amazing – we now have 70 HP more, without any increase in fuel consumption!
